Photo Slideshow Creator

Nothing compares with looking over pictures after returning from a vacation. Showing off your pictures to your friends works much better if you create a slideshow, but this can take some time, especially if you have too many pictures and the application you are using is a bit difficult to handle. With Photo Slideshow Creator, it will take less time to create slideshows and they will look better, thanks to the application's vast collection of transition effects, themes or the adjustments it lets you make.

Although it is not freeware, you can use the free trial version without any restrictions. Photo Slideshow Creator is compatible with Windows 2000 or later editions. The installed software takes up 82 and a half Mb of disk space and it requires a processor of at least 1 Ghz and at least 512 Mb of RAM.

Creating a slideshow is a step by step process. You will have to go through different sets of options, located under separate tabs. The software lets you navigate through your folders, like on a standard explorer window. When you find your pictures, you must drag them to the lower area of the interface. The order in which you place your pictures in this region will reflect on the slideshow itself.

Small thumbnails, illustrating transition effects, can be found between each two images. Different effects can be found under the second navigation tab and you can change them by dragging one of their thumbnails over the one between images. If you don't want your slideshow to start too suddenly, you may add title screens. They are found under the third tab and you can insert them the same way as other images or effects. It is possible to edit them or create new ones, on a separate window, where you can place images, text, colors or gradients.

There are various theme categories available under the fourth tab. Making your slideshow look like it is running on a laptop's display, in a cinema or on a build board is just an example. Photo Slideshow Creator can export the project as a video file, in AVI, MP4 or other formats, as a screensaver or burn it to a DVD video disk. Before exporting, you may also add one or more soundtracks, preview the slideshow and make further adjustments.
